LEVEL 1
Environmental certification

To achieve Level 1, the farmer must :

  • Conduct an assessment showing that its operation meets the environmental requirements of the CAP conditionality conditionality, ie requirements relating to the fields "Environment", "Plant Health" and "Good Agricultural and Environmental Conditions (BCAE)".
  • This assessment is validated by a body authorized under the Agricultural Advisory System (SCA). In the absence of ACS, OCACIA may validate Level 1 during a transitional period.
  • Farms not subject to CAP conditionality are not obliged to incorporate GAEC into their balance sheets.
  • Conduct an assessment of the operation with regard to the second level of reference and / or with respect to third level environmental performance thresholds.

LEVEL 2
Environmental certification

Demonstrates compliance by the farms with the environmental requirements set out in a reference system established by the Ministries of Agriculture and the Environment with regard to biodiversity, phytosanitary strategy, fertilizer management and water resources.

LEVEL 3
High Environmental Value Certification

Demonstrates compliance by farms with high environmental performance thresholds for biodiversity, phytosanitary strategy, fertilizer management and water resources, as measured by composite or global indicators set by the Ministries of Agriculture and the environment.
